The Hana Ohana Research Group at the University of California, Irvine, studies a wide range of issues having to do with how people collaborate. We approach these issues from a socio-technical perspective, looking at the relationship between the people involved and the tools they use. We aim to understand the underlying principles as well as guide future practice to be more effective.

  • Judy Olson gave the 2012 ACM Athena lecture at the CSCW 2012 meeting in Bellevue, WA. The title of the lecture was "Broader Impacts," in which she talked about ways in which we could have our work affect the broader world.
